Shuvu held its annual Bar and Bas Mitzvah celebrations during the final weeks of the school year. The 200 boys celebrated in Jerusalem, beginning with Kabbalas Ol Malchus Shamayim at the Kosel, followed by Divrei Bracha by distinguished Rabbonim, a Seudas Mitzvah, and an entertaining musical performance. The boys received Siddurim donated by Shuvu co-chairman Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoch, and pairs of Tefillin donated by Bar Mitzvah boys in the USA and UK. The 300 girls celebrated in Bnei Brak with moving speakers, Hafrashas Challah, a Seudas Mitzvah, and of course Kabbals Ol Malchus Shamayim. They also sang slow spiritual songs while holding lit candles and made Kabbalos for the future. Each girl received 3 beautiful gifts: a Challah board, a necklace, and a personalized Siddur donated by Mrs. Rika Knopf, in memory of her dear husband R' Mordche Knopf zt"l, Shuvu's Founding Co- Chairman.
